Embedded Text and Graphics

STEN is a premier provider of high-quality tools for distance learning. Three educational material take the form of text, powerful graphics and dynamic simulations. They capture the attention of the reader, providing an effective instructional framework explaining and amplifying economic, financial and statistical topics
An associated product Net SIMULgraph, a Net-based simulation graphics package, provides compelling interactive visualization of analytical concepts. It let's the student explore their learning frontiers by changing parameters that affect the models solutions and seeing the result. These interactive graphic models allow students to learn by active problem solving rather than passive learning.
STEN's principals have extensive university teaching experience in economics. This experience with distance learning includes the design and teaching of Net-based classes as well as on instructional television

STEN is a small management consulting firm that offers a variety of Net-based tools. Our commercial Net-graphics product, DataVisualized, allows us to offer our customers the know-how to visualize statistical data over the Net. Our expertise for education and training gives customers the tools to reach a large audience anywhere in the world.

Options: Education and training materials may be developed and placed on STEN's servers in Washington, DC, where we provide all support and maintenance; alternatively, it may be loaded on the customer's server ( at technical seminar and documentation are included for the client's staff).

Time to delivery: STEN can prepare educational modules for standard 40 hr. courses within a month or two, possibly sooner depending on the scope of the materials.

Technical Features: Graphical images may be created and used without special graphics software on the Net (internet, WAN/LAN) - the narratives with embedded text are created with a server side process. Both the images and text appear as HTML documents and Gif files (produced by © PGPlot) are included in the document and, since the graphics and text are linked, updates are simple. It is Open Standards Compliant.
